Supporting Local Food and Drink Producers within the Vale of Glamorgan – invitation to get involved with our food mission!
Supporting local food production has benefits for everyone, at the Vale of Glamorgan Council we are on a food mission and would like your help. The county has a rich food and farming heritage and we want to celebrate our food and drink heroes and champion our local produce, especially those who go that extra mile to produce safe, tasty and fresh produce, support the local economy and look after our natural environment. We want to do this by shining a spotlight on you and encouraging residents and visitors to the Vale of Glamorgan to buy local, choose seasonal produce and learn more about the food produced within our county. Whether you are a local grower, bee-keeper, vineyard, pick your own or farmer producing pasture fed added value meats to diversify your business, we would be delighted if you would take just 15 minutes of your time to complete our survey, so that we can keep in touch and help us to celebrate what you do. Activities will include the production of a local food producer directory, supporting the development of local supply chains, signposting advice and more. Being a local food producer isn't always easy and we want to help and support your business to adapt, grow and thrive. We hope that you will consider getting involved.
