(Through our volunteering scheme Value in the Vale, you could earn rewards such as free hot drinks, beauty products and car washes etc for volunteering your time).

Do you currently walk or cycle in the area? If not why not?

If you had a bicycle would you and your family cycle to school /shops / leisure facilities?

Do you feel you would benefit from some support to get into employment? 

(Working with our partners, we can offer funding for training, interview support and advice as well as other back to work support). 

Would you like a Money Health Check?
Our Money Advice Team can support you with:

• Checking benefit entitlement and helping maximise your income
• Accessing support such as food bank vouchers, fuel vouchers, or data SIM cards
• Completing forms (e.g. PIP, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Reduction, Universal Credit applications)
• Signposting to debt advice services (e.g. StepChange, Citizens Advice) and offering support to attend appointments if needed
• Budgeting advice and exploring possible grants to support tenants

Do you consider yourself digitally excluded?

(This could mean being unable to access or use the internet or digital devices such as mobile phones, computers or tablets).

Do you feel the estate would benefit from a youth club?

Do you think  a Neighbourhood Watch Group would be good for the area?

Would you be interested in becoming part of a residents group within the estate? 

(A residents group is a group of tenants  who come together every couple of months to hold a meeting to discuss issues within the area and also arrange activities. These meetings are also attended by your Neighbourhood Manager. Groups may also have access for up to two thousand pounds funding).

Would you like to get involved with us to scrutinise and help improve the services Vale Homes offers? 

(The Vale Homes Scrutiny Group is a team of tenants who work in partnership with Vale Homes to help improve housing services and to make sure tenants’ voices are heard in decisions that affect them).
