Sign E-Petition - Petition for action on repeated fireworks disturbance and animal welfare in Barry.
We, the undersigned residents, ask the Vale of Glamorgan Council to review the repeated use of loud fireworks in residential areas and consider what practical, lawful measures can be introduced to reduce disturbance to residents, pets, wildlife and vulnerable people. We request that the council: * Work with local councillors, police and relevant services to improve reporting and responses to repeated incidents. * Promote quieter fireworks and responsible use. * Review options for local policies or restrictions where legally permitted. * Explain what residents can do when fireworks cause repeated disturbance or create a safety concern, such as smoke obstructing road visibility. We ask the council to provide a formal response outlining what action is possible and what further changes would require national legislation.
