Value in the Vale - Task and Finish Group

Thank you for your feedback at the recent Working Group Meeting held at the Civic Offices on 19th February 2026 regarding Value in the Vale.

Following the points raised, we are inviting you to take part in a Task and Finish Group to work together to address the concerns identified and develop clear actions to resolve them.

For those who were not present at previous discussions, the key points raised included:

• Value in the Vale rewards are not fully accessible, particularly for those unable to travel to locations such as Llantwit Major.

• The current rewards are not always appealing to younger members, particularly those who are not interested in coffee-related options.

• A desire for more reward options and the opportunity for tenants to share their preferences.

• Concerns that newsletters and questionnaires from Value in the Vale have not been received by tenants.

It is proposed that the Task and Finish Group will meet three times at the Civic Offices, with each meeting focused on a specific theme:

• Meeting 1 (14th may 2026): An opportunity for members to share ideas about the rewards they would like to see offered and to discuss the issue of newsletters not being received. Feedback around newsletters and correspondence going forward.

• Meeting 2 (21st July 2026): A follow-up session to review the requested rewards and consider which options are viable.

• Meeting 3: (13th August 2026) To agree next steps and establish a clear way forward.

We understand that not everyone will be able to attend all meetings, so we want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to contribute. This questionnaire will be circulated, and we encourage you to complete it before the first meeting in May whether you are able to attend or not.
