More than £500,000 has been invested in Penarth Pier Pavilion and the Esplanade in the last two years

The Vale of Glamorgan Council is now speaking to local residents, businesses, and community groups about how to further improve Penarth seafront and the surrounding area.

A programme of engagement and discussion began in August with a series of online polls and the opportunity for people to share their thoughts using an ideas board at Penarth Pier Pavilion. This work continued into September. An online forum for discussion was also launched. These remain open and you can access them on this page. The responses to these exercises have been considered and a more formal survey exercise ran throughout October.

All of the information gathered so far has been analysed and now we'd like to hear more on the top issues raised, such as parking, seating and pedestrianisation.

Public drop-in sessions will take place on:

• Thursday 24 November, 2:00pm - 7:00pm, West House, Stanwell Road.

• Tuesday 29 November, 12:30pm - 4:30pm, Penarth Pier Pavilion

Please pop-in anytime to share your views with us.

Local residents and traders have been invited to attend tailored drop-in sessions.
